3CX SIP Trunking
Two ways to pay for your 3CX SIP trunk. No add-ons hiding underneath.
Metered 3CX SIP trunking bills you for exactly what you use. Unlimited — also called unmetered — bills you the same figure every month. Your call. Either way our trunks are 3CX Tested and approved on 3CX v20, we bill in arrears, and you get one bill, one payment, and no prepaid balance to top up.

Unlimited plans include 5,000 minutes per channel pooled across your account and are subject to the Fair Use and prohibited use terms in our Terms of Service. Additional minutes on the unlimited plans are billed at metered rates. Rates shown are for calling in the continental US. A $50 minimum monthly usage applies to metered plans, measured on usage before taxes and fees. Calls outside the continental US, taxes, USF, state or local surcharges, 911 surcharges, A2P 10DLC brand registration, and monthly campaign fees for SMS are billed separately.

Why 3CX users choose Ahoy Telecom SIP Trunking
Over Twilio
Twilio has no flat-rate plan, and no 3CX relationship at all. Every minute is metered, so the more you call the more you pay and nothing caps it. At 60,000 outbound minutes a month our unlimited channels run $206 against their $712, a difference of $6,069 a year on identical traffic, and at call center volume the gap passes $13,000 a year. Their headline per-minute rate reads well right up until you total a real month. Caller ID name is the other charge that compounds: Twilio bills $0.01 for every inbound lookup, so a business taking 2,300 calls a month pays about $23 a month, $280 a year, simply to see who is calling, and we include it. Numbers are $1.15 against our $1.00, and that gap repeats on every DID you own, every month. The real difference shows up after you sign up. Twilio hands you API documentation and a ticket queue. We are a 3CX Titanium Partner and our trunks are 3CX Tested and approved: we configure the trunk in 3CX with you, run the port, and stay on the line until your calls are flowing, with US based support and an engineer who knows your 3CX deployment by name.
Over Voxtelesys
Voxtelesys charges $0.01 a minute in both directions. We charge $0.006 inbound and $0.009 outbound, so you save 40% on every inbound minute. Toll-free is where the gap gets serious. Their inbound toll-free is $0.025 a minute against our $0.00975, a 61% difference that never shows up in a headline comparison. Then come the add-ons. Inbound caller ID name is $1.00 per number per month with them and free with us. Text-enabling a number is another $1.00 per number per month, also free with us. Porting a local number to them costs $8.00 each, so moving twenty numbers is $160 before you have made a single call. We port free. Their metered plan requires a four line minimum, the discounted per-line rates in their term agreement only apply if you sign a one, two, or three year commitment, and 3CX support is sold separately on top of that, where we are a 3CX Titanium Partner and never bill extra to help with the PBX. We do not lock you into a term to get a fair rate, and we do not charge extra to help you. Onboarding, configuration, and porting are hands-on from day one, done by US based engineers who work on 3CX every day and hold the 3CX Service Provider designation.
Over Callcentric
Callcentric sells outbound in minute bundles that stop at 2,500. Past that every minute bills at $0.0198, so their effective rate climbs the more you talk. At 6,000 outbound minutes they work out to $0.0165 a minute and at 30,000 they reach $0.0191, against our flat $0.009. That is a 46% to 53% difference, and it moves the wrong way as you grow. Their unlimited calling plans are restricted to residential customers by their own terms, so a business cannot buy flat rate outbound from them at any price. We sell $20 per channel unlimited to anyone. Every number carries a setup fee too, $3.95 or $8.95 depending on plan, which is $83 to $183 on a twenty number move where we charge nothing. And their messaging is not built for business at all. Their own SMS page lists no MMS support, no A2P, bulk, or commercial messaging, and no texting on toll-free numbers. If you send appointment reminders or run two-way support texting, that is not a price comparison, it is a capability they do not offer and we do. On top of all of it, you get US based support that picks up, and an engineer who stays with you from the first port request through the day everything is running.
3CX SIP trunking questions
Does your SIP trunk work with 3CX v20?
Yes. v20 is the current and only supported 3CX release, and our trunks are 3CX Tested and approved on it. The interop was run by 3CX, not asserted by us, so you are not the first person pointing this trunk at a v20 PBX to find out what breaks.
Is Ahoy Telecom a 3CX supported SIP trunk provider?
Yes, and by three separate measures: we are a 3CX Titanium Partner, we hold the 3CX Service Provider designation, and our SIP trunks are 3CX Tested and approved. Those are relationships 3CX issues, not claims a carrier can make about itself.
Is your SIP trunk certified for 3CX?
3CX does not issue anything it calls a certification. What it does issue is Tested and approved status, which our trunks carry, on top of our Titanium Partner tier and Service Provider designation. If a provider tells you they are certified for 3CX, it is worth asking which programme issued it.
Do you offer an elastic SIP trunk for 3CX?
Elastic SIP Trunking is Twilio’s product name rather than an industry term, so no one else sells one by that name. The equivalent here is the metered plan: no channel commitment, no term contract, and you add or remove numbers and channels month to month as your 3CX call volume moves.
Will you configure the trunk in 3CX for me?
Yes. We provision the trunk and then work through the 3CX configuration with you on a call, including the inbound and outbound rules, and we place real calls in both directions before you rely on it. If we host your 3CX, we do the whole thing.
Can I keep my existing numbers?
Yes, and porting them in is free. We manage the paperwork and the cutover with the losing carrier. Your numbers stay live throughout, so nothing changes for the people already calling you.
Can I buy phone numbers for my 3CX system from you?
Yes. Local numbers are $1.00 per number per month and toll-free numbers are $2.00, with no setup fee on either, and numbers point straight at your 3CX trunk. Porting numbers you already publish costs nothing.
Do your 3CX SIP trunks include SMS?
Yes. SMS is $0.01 a message and MMS is $0.03, both with carrier network access fees already included, and text-enabling a number costs nothing. Not every trunk provider offers messaging at all, and some charge a monthly fee per number just to switch it on.
Do you offer unlimited channel trunking for 3CX?
Yes. Unlimited is $20 per channel per month for unlimited calling across the continental US, with a four channel minimum. You buy channels against your peak simultaneous calls in 3CX rather than per user, so a fifty person office carrying eight concurrent calls buys eight channels.
Do you support 3CX hosted somewhere other than with you?
Yes. The trunk behaves the same whether your 3CX runs on your own hardware, in your own cloud, or hosted by us. If you would rather not run it at all, we host 3CX with full backups and support.
What does a 3CX SIP trunk cost, and is it cheap?
Metered starts at $0.006 a minute inbound and $0.009 outbound with a $50 monthly usage minimum, and unlimited is $20 per channel per month. Run your own numbers through the calculator above and it will usually come out cheaper than the trunks people compare us against, but cheap is not really the pitch. The reason to move is that a 3CX Titanium Partner configures the trunk with you and answers the phone afterwards.
Do you sell 3CX licences as well?
Yes. We sell annual 3CX Professional and Enterprise licences and can host the PBX too, so the licence, the hosting and the SIP trunk sit on one invoice with one support number.
Ready to Move Your 3CX to Ahoy Telecom?
Tell us how your 3CX is deployed and how many simultaneous calls you need, and we will size the trunk, quote it, and book the configuration call.
What happens next:
- We size the trunk against your peak simultaneous calls, not your user count.
- We quote metered or unlimited, whichever is cheaper at your volume.
- We configure the trunk in 3CX with you and test calls in both directions.
- We port your existing numbers in, free, and manage the cutover.
